I missed posting this on the 4th because I was caught up in celebrating America. But happy belated 4th of July, guys.

Dave was telling me about Carhenge last month— the Nebraska reproduction of Stonehenge created with American-made cars— and I was struck suddenly by the expansiveness and ingenuity of the American spirit. We’re a crazy and amazing country! I mean: Mount Rushmore! The Internet! Manifest destiny! Containerized shipping! Individually-wrapped cheese! Mapping the human genome! Our constitution!

God Bless America and our wonderful combination of hard work and irrational exuberance.
